Teen rider claims pretty polly m&m title at windsor

Beau Belle Crossley and her home-produced Welsh section C stallion Thistledown Runaway won the British Show Pony Society Pretty Polly mountain and moorland championship at the 2026 Royal Windsor Horse Show.

The 16-year-old rider first topped a competitive mixed M&M breed class before defeating entries from the lead rein and first ridden sections to take the overall Pretty Polly M&M champion title on May 17. The 10-year-old pony, owned by Crossley’s mother Stevie, is out of Thistledown Isabella and by Donys Gwrda. It marked the pair’s first appearance at the castle grounds.

Britain’s Tom McEwen secured third place in the five-star dressage at the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event with a score of 25.1. Elizabeth Barratt claimed third in the Cosequin Lexington CCI4*-S class scoring 29.7. Both riders praised their horses after tests on 24 April.
