Une adolescente remporte le titre Pretty Polly M&M à Windsor

Beau Belle Crossley et son étalon Welsh section C, Thistledown Runaway, élevé à domicile, ont remporté le championnat « Pretty Polly » de poneys de montagne et de landes (M&M) de la British Show Pony Society lors du Royal Windsor Horse Show 2026.

La cavalière de 16 ans s'est d'abord imposée dans une catégorie compétitive mixte de race M&M avant de devancer les concurrents des sections « lead rein » et « first ridden » pour décrocher le titre de championne générale Pretty Polly M&M le 17 mai. Le poney de 10 ans, appartenant à Stevie, la mère de Crossley, est issu de Thistledown Isabella et de Donys Gwrda. Il s'agissait de la première apparition du duo sur le domaine du château.

Britain’s Tom McEwen secured third place in the five-star dressage at the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event with a score of 25.1. Elizabeth Barratt claimed third in the Cosequin Lexington CCI4*-S class scoring 29.7. Both riders praised their horses after tests on 24 April.

Heniarth Stand Up, ridden by 10-year-old Posy Lindsay, captured the 2026 mini mountain and moorland championship at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Maisie Kerry-Oates rode Cadlanvalley Royal Bronze to victory in the mountain and moorland working hunter pony championship at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The seven-year-old Welsh section B topped the 133cm class before claiming the overall title. This success came in the rider's first appearance in the workers at the event.
