Praggnanandhaa henter inn Firouzja etter dag tre i Zagreb

GM Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu vant alle sine tre hurtigsjakkpartier på dag tre og tok igjen GM Alireza Firouzja i toppen av sammendraget i 2026 Super Rapid & Blitz Croatia.

Praggnanandhaa beseiret GM-ene Ivan Saric, Bogdan-Daniel Deac og Anish Giri, og nådde dermed 12 poeng. Firouzja spilte to remispartier og tapte mot GM Nodirbek Abdusattorov, som sammen med GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave nå er ett poeng bak lederne.

GM-ene Gukesh Dommaraju og Vincent Keymer ligger likt på femteplass. Den siste runden med hurtigsjakk bød på Abdusattorovs seier over Firouzja i en variant han hadde forberedt tidligere i turneringen.

Dag fire starter med ni runder lynsjakk lørdag 4. juli kl. 09.00 ET. Turneringen er det tredje arrangementet i 2026 Grand Chess Tour og finner sted på Westin Hotel i Zagreb, Kroatia.
