A team from the Procuraduría General de la Nación visited the Defense Ministry to oversee contracting plans worth 13 trillion pesos.
The visit took place on July 23, 2026, to monitor projects strengthening the Military and Police Forces, approved by CONPES 4187 on March 27, 2026.
The meeting included acting Defense Minister Angélica Verbel López and military and police commanders. They reviewed details on resource management for the National Navy, Aerospace Force, Army and Police.
The investment plans, set for 4 to 8 years, include purchases of helicopters, planes, an anti-drone system and intelligence equipment. The Procuraduría announced it will join technical tables to oversee tenders, direct contracts and inter-administrative agreements.
