PSB Chamber leader Deputy Jonas Donizette praised São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas during an event in Campinas on Saturday (11). Despite his party backing Fernando Haddad (PT) in São Paulo city, Donizette highlighted the Republican's work for the people of São Paulo. The moment took place at the inauguration of works on the Miguel Melhado Campos highway.
In Campinas, federal deputy Jonas Donizette, PSB Chamber leader and former mayor of the city, shared the stage with Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) and Marcos Pereira, president of the Republicanos party. In his speech, Donizette thanked the governor for his presence in the region and for delivering works.
"Our governor [Tarcísio] works a lot for the people of São Paulo. [I want to thank you] for these days of yours in our region. He strengthened the base, brought the government in full force, delivered works in several important areas and gets close, feels the pulse of the region," Donizette said.
Questioned by Folha's Painel, the deputy downplayed the episode, saying he learned from President Lula to be republican in relations. "President Lula himself says we have to be republican in relations," he stated. He added that the highway project in question began during his tenure as mayor.
The event marked Governor Tarcísio's inauguration of the duplication works on the Miguel Melhado Campos highway.
