Return plan records positive balance during holiday bridge

More than 5,000 police officers and 500 soldiers were deployed on Colombia's main roads during the Ascension of the Lord holiday bridge.

Authorities reported a positive balance in mobility and road safety. Lieutenant Colonel Andrés Vaca Camacho highlighted the good behavior of drivers and the coordinated work of institutions.

A total of 5,198 traffic fines were issued and 2,906 breathalyzer tests were conducted, of which only nine were positive. In Cundinamarca nearly 855,000 vehicles circulated and in Bogotá more than 513,000.

The reversible operation between Villavicencio and Bogotá remained in place until 10:00 p.m., while entry to the capital was restricted by license plates until 8:00 p.m. Authorities expect a total of four million vehicles to be mobilized during the bridge.
