Rey Fenix defended his AAA Cruiserweight Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo in a fast-paced match on WWE SmackDown. The bout took place at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The match opened with an early roll-up attempt by Vikingo that Fenix kicked out of. Fenix responded with a top-rope crossbody and later a baseball slide, but Vikingo countered with a springboard asai moonsault on the outside.
Back in the ring, Fenix landed a top-rope kick to the head followed by a frog splash. Vikingo regained momentum with a meteora and a hurricanrana off the top rope. Fenix avoided a springboard 450 splash and delivered a Mexican Muscle Buster to secure the pinfall.
Fenix recorded his third successful title defense on the blue brand in recent weeks. The event occurred on July 3, 2026.
