Rob Harvey announces debut solo album release plans

Rob Harvey, former frontman of the band The Music, has confirmed that his first solo album is complete. He shared the news via Instagram on June 8 and said new music would arrive in the autumn.

Harvey posted that the album is mastered and expressed excitement about sharing tracks later this year. The announcement follows his work as a touring musician with Kasabian and as a songwriter for artists including Louis Tomlinson, The Streets and Clean Bandit.

In additional posts, Harvey reflected on his time with The Music, which formed in 1999 and split in 2011. He described challenges with band life and credited songwriting for others with helping him maintain creative output without the demands of performing.

Harvey said the new project allowed him to channel emotions into themes of beauty and love. The Music released three albums during its original run, including a 2002 debut with UK chart singles.
