Shareholder sues Key Housing Finance Solutions leadership

A former deputy chief executive with a 20 percent stake has filed a lawsuit against the general manager and board chairman of Key Housing Finance Solutions PLC at the Federal First Instance Court.

Girum Yilma, who also serves as general manager at Abbay TV, took the legal action at the Trade & Investment Bench. He had been the public face of the company during its expansion phase and used his media profile to build subscriber trust in the housing finance model.

The company had set an initial target of constructing 100,000 homes over 10 years. The internal dispute represents a shift from that goal and could affect remaining public confidence in the firm.

Shareholders and senior managers at Key Housing Finance Solutions PLC are now in conflict, according to the report published on June 27, 2026.
