Switzerland has unveiled its roster for the upcoming IIHF World Championship, featuring six players from the NHL. The team is seeking its first gold medal on home ice after earning silver in each of the last two tournaments.
The Swiss squad includes forwards Nico Hischier, Nino Niederreiter, Timo Meier and Pius Suter along with defensemen Roman Josi and Janis Moser. All six compete in the NHL this season. New Jersey Devils defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler withdrew from the roster due to injury while Kevin Fiala remains sidelined from an earlier Olympic injury.
