The controversy started on Wednesday when TMZ published details about Pratt's accommodations at the Hotel Bel Air, which it described as highly luxurious with rooms costing at least $1,500 a night. The outlet contrasted this with the trailer on an empty lot shown in Pratt's ad, which he used to highlight differences with opponents Karen Bass and Nithya Raman.
