A union-backed independent expenditure committee released a digital ad on May 9 criticizing Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt, according to The Daily Wire and a social-media post it cited from the account Unrig LA.
A political ad opposing Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt circulated online May 9, with The Daily Wire describing it as sponsored by an independent expenditure committee called “L.A. Unions Opposed to Spencer Pratt for Mayor 2026,” along with the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO.
In the version highlighted by The Daily Wire, the ad’s narration criticizes Pratt’s stated approach to homelessness and public safety, including opposition to using taxpayer money to build new housing for unhoused residents and support for hiring more police officers rather than additional social workers. The ad also says Pratt wants public employee unions to have “less power.”
The Daily Wire report did not provide a source document for the funding figures, but it quoted a post from Unrig LA saying the effort involved an initial $221,000 for the video and digital advertising.
