Tesla Full Self-Driving to remember parking preferences

Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that upcoming releases of Full Self-Driving will learn and apply drivers' parking preferences. The update aims to reduce the most common reason for human intervention during FSD operation.

Musk posted on X that future FSD versions will direct the vehicle to a preferred parking spot based on past behavior at locations such as home, office, or school drop-off.

He stated that destination parking is by far the biggest reason people intervene with FSD, while critical safety interventions remain extremely rare.

No release date was provided for the feature, though Tesla has issued new FSD versions every few weeks recently.

The change would eliminate the current tendency to select the first available spot and could also learn preferred orientations such as backing in.
