On November 4, The Weeknd revealed plans for 'Hurry Up Tomorrow,' a film that extends his musical narrative into cinema. This psychological thriller marks the conclusion of his album trilogy, following 'After Hours' and 'Dawn FM.' The Canadian artist will appear on screen with actors Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, under the direction of Trey Edward Shults.
Lionsgate has acquired the rights for a worldwide theatrical rollout. The film's score will feature collaboration between The Weeknd and Daniel Lopatin. As Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, stated to Variety: “Abel is a visionary whose art cannot be confined by any single medium. With Hurry Up Tomorrow, in partnership with Trey, his musical universe expands onto the big screen with a psychological thriller that will usher in a new cinematic experience for fans.
