Viktor Lodin raises expectations after leg injury recovery

Färjestad forward Viktor Lodin says his rehabilitation from a leg injury sustained in last spring's playoffs is progressing well. The 27-year-old has trained without restrictions this summer and aims to be ready for the SHL season opener.

Lodin told Nya Wermlands-Tidningen that he has felt stronger each day and that his confidence has grown ahead of August. He has completed all training elements including running, jumping and sprinting, though the area around the scar remains sensitive.

He has not yet returned to on-ice training but described a positive test with inline hockey. Lodin noted he felt weaker in the leg at times but strong in skating.

Färjestad's first preseason game against Linköping in Mariestad is scheduled in three weeks. Lodin said his goal remains to be fit for the regular season start and that the successful rehab has increased his personal expectations.
