Woman charged after pepper-spraying dollar tree workers

A 28-year-old Delaware woman has been accused of using her children to shoplift from a Dollar Tree and then pepper-spraying two employees who confronted her. Janaia Wright was arrested Sunday after the incident at the store in Wilmington.

Janaia Wright is charged with two counts of second-degree assault with a disabling chemical spray, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, shoplifting under $1,500, and criminal mischief under $1,000. She was released on a $5,600 unsecured bond after arraignment, according to Delaware State Police.
