Life Sentence

Clifton Wayne Hampton, 51, was sentenced to life in prison with parole possible after at least 38 years for strangling his wife Christina to death. The killing followed an argument where she called him 'pathetic' and sought a divorce. Rogers County District Judge Lara M. Russell imposed the sentence on Thursday after Hampton pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.
