Aaron Judge on pace to set record for most 50-homer seasons

Aaron Judge has hit 16 home runs through his team's first 48 games this season. The slugger is on pace for 54 homers and stands just one short of becoming the first player ever with five 50-homer seasons.

Judge leads the American League in several advanced metrics. He ranks third in the majors with a 173 OPS+ and second in Statcast batting run value. These numbers follow back-to-back AL MVP awards and three of the past four.
