Activision has introduced a new matchmaking system for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 with the launch of Season 5.
The system draws inspiration from Black Ops 1 and 2, following positive player feedback on recent PlayStation ports of those games.
"Over the past year, we've continued to learn a lot about multiplayer matchmaking through player data and community feedback," the announcement said. "We're also excited to see all the recent love for Black Ops and Black Ops 2."
The update applies to Quick Play, Party Games and Black Ops Classic playlists. Black Ops 7 already offered standard and Open matchmaking options at launch.
The same announcement confirmed that the Modern Warfare 4 beta in August will include Open and standard matchmaking.
