BOC to hold third auction of Discaya luxury cars

The Bureau of Customs will auction eight luxury cars once owned by the Discaya couple, plus two other vehicles, this month at the Port of Manila. This includes cars that failed to sell in two prior auctions. The seizure relates to a corruption probe into flood control projects.

The Bureau of Customs announced a public auction on February 11 at 10 a.m. in the Situation Room, Ground Floor, Office of the Commissioner Building, BOC, Port Area, Manila. Among the 10 vehicles up for bidding are the black Rolls Royce Cullinan (2023) and blue Bentley Bentayga (2022), which went unsold in two previous attempts. Other Discaya-owned cars include the Lincoln Navigator (2024), GMC Yukon Denali (2022), Cadillac Escalade (2021), Maserati Levante Modena (2022), GMC Yukon XL Denali (2022), and Cadillac Escalade ESV (2022). The list is completed by a blue Bugatti Chiron (2017) and a red Bugatti Chiron (2019).

Interested bidders can view the vehicles publicly at the BOC-Port of Manila grounds on February 5 and 6. The bureau has not yet disclosed floor prices for each car.

Last year, two auctions generated P47,691,710 from the sale of five luxury vehicles: a black matte Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG (2022), red Mercedes-Benz G500 (2019) Brabus, black Lincoln Navigator (2021), Toyota Tundra (2022), and orange Toyota Sequoia (2023). The BOC had aimed to raise P103 million from the initial seven Discaya cars.

The vehicles were seized starting September 2, 2025, when the BOC executed a search warrant from Manila City Regional Trial Court Branch 18 at the Discayas' St. Gerrard Construction compound in Pasig City. Only two of the 12 listed vehicles were found initially, but the Discayas later surrendered the rest, including 16 additional cars, for a total of 28.
