Brandon Royval claims social media followers cost him UFC main event

Brandon Royval said social media followers once prevented him from headlining a UFC event. He recalled a matchmaking decision that favored Alexa Grasso instead.

Brandon Royval stated that UFC officials passed on booking him in a main event because Grasso had more social media followers.

"I remember they didn't book me as a main event and the reasoning was like, 'I think she has way more followers than you,'" Royval said in a post.

The fighter described the decision as a direct comparison of online audience size between the two athletes.
