Bridgeport Islanders sign Cole Eiserman to try-out contract

The Bridgeport Islanders have signed forward Cole Eiserman to a try-out contract after he signed an entry-level deal with the parent New York Islanders. The 19-year-old from Newburyport, Mass., recently played two seasons at Boston University.

Cole Eiserman, a first-round pick (20th overall) by the New York Islanders in the 2024 NHL Draft, has joined the Bridgeport Islanders on a try-out basis. This move comes shortly after he agreed to an entry-level contract with the NHL club that owns Bridgeport as its affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Eiserman's signing provides the Islanders with a promising young forward looking to make the professional leap. During his most recent season at Boston University, the 19-year-old tallied 18 goals and 10 assists over 32 games. Those figures placed him tied for third in goals within the Hockey East conference and second in points on the Terriers roster. Over two college seasons, he amassed 38 goals and 19 assists for 57 points in 64 appearances. As a freshman in 2025, Eiserman contributed to Boston University's run to the Frozen Four, including scoring the game-winning goal in the national semifinal against Penn State. Internationally, he has suited up for the United States at the last two IIHF World Junior Championships, securing a gold medal in 2025.
