British band A announces new album Prang

British alt-rock band A has revealed details of their upcoming album Prang, set for release on May 22, 2026. The record marks their first studio effort in over two decades, following 2005's Teen Dance Ordinance. A lead single, Hello Sunshine, accompanies the announcement.

The British alt-rock group A, known for their earlier work, announced their new full-length album, PRANG, on February 28, 2026. Scheduled for release via Cooking Vinyl on May 22, 2026, the album represents a significant return after a long hiatus. It follows their 2005 release, Teen Dance Ordinance, making this their first studio album in more than 20 years.

Vocalist Jason Perry shared insights into the band's journey and the album's themes. He stated, “by the end of A in 2005, I felt like we didn’t have anything to say anymore. Now, I really do. We had to go and live a life. We’ve seen massive lows that we’ve helped each other through. This album is gratitude – gratitude for friendship, for still making music, for still being alive. It was hard to know what A was. We needed to find out what A looks like today. There’s a messiness to it that allows our personality to come through — which is where the magic really happens. I don’t want anyone to put on an A record and think it sounds like it was hard work making it. Life’s hard enough – there has to be fun in making music.”

Alongside the announcement, A released the lead single Hello Sunshine, complete with an official lyric video. The album's track list includes: Hello Sunshine, Walkover, Bring On The Likes, Shit Summer, All In, Techno Viking, Kings of Lowestoft, Comment Leaver, Back To The Shop, and Lifeline. Artwork for PRANG has also been unveiled.

Pre-orders for the album are now available through Cooking Vinyl. Fans can follow updates on A's official Facebook page.
