Capcom revealed a remake of Resident Evil: Code Veronica during Summer Game Fest. The title is set to launch in 2027 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
The announcement arrived via a trailer shown at the event on June 5. Viewers first see a first-person sequence inside a Paris hotel before Claire Redfield appears and the title is displayed. The game follows Claire as she searches for her brother after the events of Resident Evil 2. The original Resident Evil: Code Veronica launched in 2000 on the Sega Dreamcast. It was the first entry in the series released on a non-PlayStation console and expanded the story beyond Raccoon City. Capcom has positioned the remake as the next project after the Resident Evil 4 remake, which reached ten million sales faster than any prior title in the series. The new version will be available on all major modern platforms.
