Elden Ring Tarnished Edition set for Switch 2 in August

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have announced a Switch 2 release date for Elden Ring. The game will launch on August 28 as the Tarnished Edition.

The Tarnished Edition includes the base game along with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. It adds two new starting classes, new armor, and customization options for Torrent. These additions will also become available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The original Elden Ring released in 2022 and was delayed from an earlier planned Switch 2 debut to allow time for performance adjustments. A tweet from the official Elden Ring account confirmed the August 28 date. Recent hands-on sessions at the Game Developers Conference showed improved performance compared to earlier builds.
