Fortnite tops US gaming charts for week ending December 13

Fortnite claimed the top spot on both PlayStation and Xbox platforms in the United States for the week ending December 13, according to Circana data. Arc Raiders led the Steam rankings, while several titles saw notable movements in popularity. The rankings reflect total weekly active users across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

Circana analyst Mat Piscatella released data on the top 15 most popular games in the US, based on weekly active users rather than concurrent players. This metric covers activity on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam for the period ending December 13.

On PS5, Fortnite held the number one position, followed by Call of Duty HQ at number two and GTA 5 Remastered at three. Roblox ranked fourth, with NBA 2K26 in fifth. Other notable entries included Marvel Rivals at six, Battlefield 6 at seven, and Minecraft at eight. Where Winds Meet placed ninth, Madden NFL 26 tenth, WWE 2K25 eleventh, Arc Raiders twelfth, Red Dead Redemption thirteenth, NBA 2K25 fourteenth, and Rocket League fifteenth, marking a rise from twentieth the previous week.

Xbox charts mirrored some PS5 trends, with Fortnite again at number one and Call of Duty HQ second. GTA 5 Remastered was third, Roblox fourth, Minecraft fifth, NBA 2K26 sixth, Battlefield 6 seventh, Marvel Rivals eighth, and Mortal Kombat 1 ninth—a jump from fifty-ninth, aided by its addition to Game Pass. Rainbow Six Siege ranked tenth, Arc Raiders eleventh, Rocket League twelfth, A Game About Digging a Hole thirteenth (a new release), Madden NFL 26 fourteenth, and Destiny 2 fifteenth.

Steam saw Arc Raiders dominate at number one, with Counter-Strike 2 second and Battlefield 6 third. Helldivers 2 was fourth, Marvel Rivals fifth, Path of Exile 2 sixth (up from fifty-ninth), Warframe seventh, Rocket League eighth, Where Winds Meet ninth, Peak tenth, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide eleventh, Destiny 2 twelfth, Baldur's Gate 3 thirteenth, Megabonk fourteenth, and Elden Ring: Nightreign fifteenth.

These rankings highlight ongoing popularity of established titles like Fortnite and emerging interest in games such as Path of Exile 2 and Mortal Kombat 1.
