France bans offensive Israeli weapons at Eurosatory show

France has banned the display of offensive Israeli weapons at the 2026 Eurosatory exhibition near Paris. Only anti-ballistic and anti-aircraft defense systems are permitted for Israeli exhibitors. Israel's Defense Ministry protested the move.

Organizers confirmed on Monday that only Israeli exhibitors presenting anti-ballistic and anti-aircraft defense systems will be admitted. COGES Events president Charles Beaudouin said the rule aims to prevent any offensive weapons.

Israel's Defense Ministry called the decision shameful and said it prevents participation or the installation of a national pavilion. Beaudouin noted the choice comes from the French government and Defense Council.

Paris has repeatedly condemned Israeli attacks in Lebanon since late February. On Sunday, France requested an emergency UN Security Council meeting after the Israeli army seized the Beaufort fortress. Eurosatory will run from June 15 to 19 at Parc des expositions Paris Nord Villepinte.
