Hulu is set to release a three-part documentary on rapper and producer 50 Cent. The series will cover his journey from Queens to global stardom and business success. It is directed by Mandon Lovett and executive produced by 50 Cent and Patrick Altem.
According to Variety and Deadline, the untitled docuseries will explore 50 Cent's life through an intimate lens, portraying how he turned conflict and adversity into cultural impact. It traces his path from humble beginnings in Queens, New York, to rap superstardom, business mogul status, and leadership of G-Unit Film & Television. The project marks a shift for 50 Cent, who has produced stories for others, now focusing on his own. 50 Cent still executive produces the Power series on Starz. He is also preparing to star as Balrog in the Street Fighter reboot, set for theaters on October 16, where he performed his own stunts. 50 Cent shared plans for new music, stating, “I’m gonna get @eminem on deck to make some music for this movie Street Fighter,” adding, “New Music on the way!” Over his career, the Queens native has achieved two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and four No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, with 41 entries on the latter chart.
