The AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers draw placed Indonesia U-20 in Group H alongside Australia, Malaysia and Laos. The draw was held by AFC in Kuala Lumpur on 28 May 2026.
Group H matches will be hosted by Laos. The qualifiers run from 25 August to 6 September 2026 under a new AFC format. Only the eight group winners and the seven best runners-up advance to the finals in China.
Coach Nova Arianto set a target for Indonesia to finish top of the group. He noted the competition will be tough given Australia’s status as defending champions.
Before the qualifiers, the team will take part in the ASEAN U-19 Boys’ Championship 2026 in Medan from 1 to 13 June. Indonesia faces Myanmar, Timor Leste and Vietnam in the group stage.
