Jared Cannonier pushes for million-dollar UFC contracts

Jared Cannonier has stated that his long tenure near the top of the middleweight division entitles him to substantially higher pay from the UFC.

Cannonier expressed his views on fighter compensation during recent comments. He noted that he has remained in the top 10 for seven to eight years.

"I would like to get paid the same way the highest level athletes in any sport get paid," Cannonier said. "I should have million dollar contracts at the stage I’m in. I’m not complaining but it’s how I feel."

The middleweight contender emphasized that he is not voicing complaints but simply sharing his perspective on appropriate compensation at his career stage.
