League of Legends Classic set for July 29 launch

Riot Games will release League of Legends Classic on July 29. The announcement came during a showmatch at the MSI Finals event. Players can prepare by pre-downloading the game in advance.

League of Legends Classic aims to recreate the MOBA's early days. Riot has confirmed that future patches will incorporate community votes on changes.

This approach could allow the game to diverge from its original path over time. Examples of classic builds such as AP Yi and Stunlock Sion are expected to return initially.

The move aligns with broader industry efforts to revive older game versions. Riot is also planning a full remake of League of Legends for 2027.
