Leslie Bibb, Jeffrey Donovan and Aidan Quinn join indie drama 'Hal'

Actors Leslie Bibb, Jeffrey Donovan and Aidan Quinn have joined the cast of the indie drama 'Hal,' directed by Mark Williams. The film, currently in production in Atlanta, stars Alexander Ludwig and Emma Roberts alongside Ernie Hudson. It follows a journalist's journey toward founding a humanitarian organization.

The indie drama 'Hal,' from director Mark Williams and his Zero Gravity Management, has added Jeffrey Donovan, Aidan Quinn and Leslie Bibb to its ensemble. They join previously announced leads Alexander Ludwig, Emma Roberts and Ernie Hudson.

Written by Mark Edwin Robinson, the story centers on Hal Donaldson, played by Ludwig, a journalist shaped by early hardship who sees his voice as his path forward. He meets Doree, portrayed by Roberts, a gifted musician whose relationship provides stability amid his career's encounters with suffering. As Hal observes crises and inequality up close, the boundary between reporting and intervening fades. This leads him to a vocation beyond words, ultimately inspiring the creation of the humanitarian organization Convoy of Hope.

In the film, Donovan takes the role of Dan Oliver, Quinn plays Professor Tigues—both key educational influences in Hal's life—and Bibb portrays his soft-spoken, resilient mother, Betty.

Donovan, known for 'Burn Notice' and the 'Sicario' films, has recent credits including 'Law & Order,' 'National Champions' and 'Wrath of Man.' He is represented by Gersh and Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum.

Quinn, with over 40 features such as 'Legends of the Fall,' 'Desperately Seeking Susan,' 'The Mission' and 'Michael Collins,' recently appeared in 'The Walsh Sisters' and 'Rematch' for Stan and Arte. His representation includes Framework, Curtis Brown and Schreck Rose Dapello.

Bibb, seen in Clint Eastwood's 'Juror #2' and the third season of HBO's 'The White Lotus,' currently stars in Apple TV's 'Palm Royale.' She is repped by UTA and LBI Entertainment.

Production is underway in Atlanta.
