LIV Golf chief executive Scott O'Neil avoided directly answering whether the league has sufficient funds to complete its four remaining tournaments in 2026 during a Tuesday interview on CNBC.
O'Neil appeared on the network's "Halftime Report" and discussed the league's search for new investors after the Saudi PIF announced it would end funding after this season. He highlighted positive momentum and named players including Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson and Cameron Young.
When pressed on a report that LIV might lack money to finish the current season, O'Neil said the PIF had been "terrific partners" and would fund the league through the season. He declined to guarantee the remaining events would occur, stating only that investors could expect "a heck of a return."
The league completed an event in Spain last week and has no further events scheduled until July in the United Kingdom. Additional stops are planned for New Jersey, Indianapolis and Michigan in August. A New Orleans tournament originally set for June has been postponed.
