Luleå's team captain Erik Gustafsson spoke to NSD about the recent coaching change. Thomas Berglund left his role as head coach following nine seasons.
Gustafsson said he respects Berglund but believes a change was necessary. He noted that Berglund himself appeared ready for something new and that a fresh voice could benefit the team.
Gustafsson also shared that his own motivation had dipped after Luleå won the SM gold in 2025. He said the feeling from before that title has now returned.
