Marcos extends 4Ps benefits beyond seven years

President Marcos has extended benefits under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program for qualified beneficiaries beyond the maximum seven-year period through Executive Order 120.

Under EO 120, qualified beneficiaries remain eligible to receive 4Ps benefits as long as they are classified by the DSWD as Level 1 or Level 2 under the SWDI tool.

The National Advisory Council recommended the extension because the COVID-19 pandemic severely disrupted household incomes and reversed prior developmental gains.

The EO states there is a need to ensure affected beneficiaries continue receiving support until they achieve the self-sufficiency level contemplated by RA 11310.

The DSWD was directed to adopt a strengthened case management system, with funding charged against the agency's current appropriations.
