Avengers: Doomsday has replaced the previously planned Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. During the event, Marvel confirmed the film is now in production under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, with a script by Stephen McFeely. It is set for release on December 18, 2026, as a pivotal Phase Five entry leading to Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027.
Robert Downey Jr. appears as the villain Doctor Doom, delivering the line 'New mask, same task' at the reveal. Teaser footage complemented the trailer's confirmation of Chris Evans reprising Steve Rogers, hinting at multiverse elements and possible Avengers vs. X-Men ties.
