The announcement for Hari Hara Veera Mallu came from Mega Surya Productions, which shared a poster on X highlighting the film's themes. "One fights for Power. One fights for Dharma. Produced by A Dayakar Rao and presented by AM Rathnam, the film will be dubbed in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam for wider reach. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and AM Jyothi Krishna, it stars Pawan Kalyan as the titular Veera Mallu, a defiant outlaw in a historical setting. Supporting roles include Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Anupam Kher, Jisshu Sengupta, Nargis Fakhri, M Nassar, Sunil, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, and Nora Fatehi.

The production boasts notable talent behind the scenes: music by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, and art direction by veteran Thota Tharani. Originally slated for a March 2024 release, the project faced multiple delays, building anticipation among fans of Telugu cinema.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has another project in the works, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, co-starring Sreeleela. Recent rumors suggested it might be shelved, but producers confirmed its progress. Initially planned as a remake of the 2016 Tamil film Theri—directed by Atlee and starring Vijay, which follows a bakery owner confronting his past—the script has been revised into an original story.
