Pearl Abyss announced a delay for Crimson Desert's next major update to allow extra time for testing and polishing. The developer expects to release the larger patch sometime next week and thanked players for their patience. The update includes keyboard and mouse presets, difficulty settings, and inventory improvements.
Pearl Abyss posted on social media to inform Crimson Desert players about the delay. 'We're currently preparing our next update, which will include several features mentioned in last week's Dev Update notice, including the addition of a keyboard/mouse and controller preset, difficulty settings, category tabs for your inventory, and more,' the statement read. 'We want to take our time with testing and polishing things before we roll the patch out, which we expect to do sometime next week.' The team noted the patch will be larger due to distant scenery quality improvements. It also introduces replayable boss fights, new difficulty levels, respawning enemy outposts, and new outfits. Since Crimson Desert launched on March 19, Pearl Abyss has released around nine full updates and hotfixes on a near-weekly basis. Players had anticipated this patch over the weekend following last week's dev update, but the developer opted for additional preparation. No firm release date was provided, though updates will continue to be tracked. The game has seen a mix of reception since launch, with ongoing official patches alongside community mods, including options for custom characters on PC.
