Persija Jakarta and midfielder Hanif Sjahbandi have officially parted ways in mid-2026 through a mutual termination agreement. The move came despite their contract running until July 2027.
Persija Jakarta announced the end of its partnership with Hanif Sjahbandi after four seasons together. The Bandung-born player from 7 April 1997 remained a key squad member across positions, including midfielder and defender.
Persija president Mohamad Prapanca said, “We are proud to have walked together with Hanif, a player who always showed high commitment and dedication.” He added that both sides have now chosen their own paths.
Hanif posted consistent appearances since the 2022/2023 season, with solid goals and assists before a knee injury limited his role in 2025/2026. The separation opens new career opportunities for him.
