Police to monitor Orsa cruising with drones

Police in region Bergslagen will use drones for camera surveillance in Orsa during the weekend of 30–31 May 2026 in connection with Orsa Cruising.

The police authority has decided on the surveillance to prevent, hinder or detect disturbances of public order and safety. The decision applies from 17:00 on 30 May to 03:00 on 31 May.

The drones will fly over a delimited area in Orsa. The police state that the flights take place at high altitudes where no personal identification occurs.

Material from the drones may be used in investigation and prosecution work. The decision does not include filming in homes or other privacy-sensitive places.
