Polri sends thousands of logistics to disaster victims in Aceh, Sumut, and Sumbar

Polri headquarters sent food and logistics aid to disaster victims in Aceh, North Sumatra (Sumut), and West Sumatra on Saturday, November 29, 2025. The aid was distributed using CN and Fokker aircraft from Tangerang Selatan. The goal is to help affected communities and police personnel survive in emergency conditions.

On Saturday morning, November 29, 2025, Deputy Assistant for Operations Management of the National Police Chief (Wakil Astamaops Kapolri), Inspector General of Police Laksana, announced the dispatch of logistics aid from the Polri Air Police Headquarters in Tangerang Selatan, Banten. The shipment was carried out immediately due to uncertain weather, so the aid could be used quickly by affected communities and police personnel assisting in evacuations.

"We are pushing this logistics as quickly as possible to help them survive in emergency conditions," said Irjen Pol. Laksana. He added, "We are sending these items right away so that our colleagues and the people there, including those from Aceh, Sumbar, and Sumut, can feel what we are contributing to them."

The aid will first be centralized in the provincial capitals, then distributed to affected villages using Polri helicopters. "We are using helicopters. But even with helicopters, we have to find landing spots. We are still assessing that there, but it has been prepared by the affected Polda or Polres. Everything is prepared to speed up the logistics push," he said.

Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Polri Public Relations Division, Brigadier General of Police Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, stated that the aid was sent using two CN and Fokker aircraft. A total of 1,500 items for vulnerable groups such as mothers and children, including school uniforms, school bags, medicines, instant food, foldable mattresses, mineral water, mosquito repellent, blankets, and life vests.

For Polda Aceh: 20 rubber boats, 120 life vests, 10 platoon tents, 2 Dokkes Polri tents, 200 velbeds, 2,000 Polri supplementary foods (MTP), 3 portable solar generators, and techno WiFi. "(Techno WiFi) is certainly also needed for communication purposes," said Trunoyudo.

For Polda Sumut: 60 life vests, 500 raincoats, 7 platoon tents, 300 velbeds, 3,000 MTP, 1,000 packs of masks, and 3 generators. For Polda Sumbar: 3 rubber boats, 18 life vests, 10 platoon tents, 300 velbeds, 2,000 MTP, 200 pointed shovels, and 100 brown ponchos. These logistics support mitigation and evacuation efforts by Polda personnel in the three provinces.
