Queen to attend Badminton Horse Trials on Friday

The Queen is scheduled to visit the Mars Badminton Horse Trials on Friday, May 8, in her role as patron of the Ebony Horse Club. The charity, selected as the event's chosen cause this year, operates a community stables in Brixton, London. Her visit coincides with the second day of dressage competition.

The Queen will attend the prestigious five-star event at Badminton on Friday as patron of the Ebony Horse Club, founded in 1996. The organization uses horses to support young people from disadvantaged communities, offering training, career opportunities, and life skills through animal care. Its stand is located at number 253 Beaufort Way, and the cross-country course features the Ebony Horse Club Gates at fence 5ab, a double of gates on one stride. Friday marks the second day of dressage at the trials, which draw top equestrian competitors from around the world. Defending champions Ros Canter and Lordships Graffalo are favored, set as the 38th pair to start from a field of 65, pending final withdrawals. Canter and her horse, nicknamed “Walter,” hold a 38% win chance according to EquiRatings data, boosted by the withdrawal of second favorites Oliver Townend and Cooley Rosalent the previous day. Bubby Upton and Cola follow with an 11% chance. Spectators can watch live or on catch-up via a Badminton TV Pass for £22.99 on badminton-horse.tv, powered by ClipMyHorse.TV.
