Swedish pop singer Robyn has released a new version of her 2002 track 'Blow My Mind' for her upcoming album Sexistential. The reworked song shifts from a love anthem to a personal ode to her three-year-old son, featuring adjusted lyrics and a faster tempo. The single arrives ahead of the album's March 27 release.
Robyn's 'Blow My Mind' serves as the fourth single from her ninth studio album, Sexistential, set for release on March 27 via Young. Originally appearing on her 2002 album Don't Stop the Music, the track was an ode to the physical aspects of a relationship. In this electro-funk remake, Robyn has rewritten the lyrics to reflect her experiences as a parent, transforming lines like a promise to 'do anything for you' into expressions of unconditional devotion.
New lyrics include: 'Unconditional naked devotion / Your unbearably cute scrumptious little face / Crushing me every single day.' The song features a ping-ponging bassline and a sped-up tempo, emphasizing its raw energy. A music video accompanies the track.
In a press statement, Robyn explained: '“Blow My Mind” is the one song on the album about my son. I was in that early stage when I was with him all the time, and something about that closeness opened the song up to me again. Listening back to the original I thought, “I think it’s one of the best songs I ever recorded, and I’m just gonna do it again.” I rewrote the lyrics and I love this version’s rawness. It’s not cute, because it’s not cute with children. They’re cute, but the experience isn’t. It’s very punk.'
Previous singles from Sexistential include 'Sexistential,' 'Dopamine,' and 'Talk To Me.' To promote the album, Robyn has announced a 2026 headlining tour across Europe, North America, Mexico, and Australia, with dates starting in May in Amsterdam—where she will open for Harry Styles—and including shows in Stockholm, London, New York, and Los Angeles. Various supporting acts are featured, such as Erika de Casier, Smerz, and Lykke Li.
