RTL has introduced the first eight celebrity participants for the 19th season of let’s dance 2026. Among them are tokio hotel drummer gustav schäfer, schlager singer anna-carina woitschack, presenter sonya kraus, and actress esther schweins. The show is expected to start in february or march 2026.
The 19th season of let’s dance on RTL promises exciting performances again: 14 celebrities will compete against each other in live shows, paired with professional dancers. The jury consists of moti mabuse, joachim llambi, and jorge gonzález, with victoria swarovski and daniel hartwich hosting. The broadcast start is not yet fixed, but expected for february or march 2026.
So far, eight candidates have been confirmed, as RTL announced on january 8, 2026. The list includes: vanessa borck (29), social media star from princess charming; esther schweins (55), actress from rtl samstag nacht; sonya kraus (52), presenter after a health break; nadja benaissa (43), no angels singer; simon gosejohann (49), comedian and tv host; jan kittmann (42), actor from gzsz; anna-carina woitschack (33), schlager singer; and gustav schäfer (37), drummer from tokio hotel.
Anna-Carina Woitschack, known from deutschland sucht den superstar 2011 and the jungle camp, sees the participation as a dream come true. “Dancing at this level is absolute new territory for me,” she said in an RTL video. “I’m looking forward to learning dancing from scratch.” Gustav Schäfer brings rhythmic sense from his music career and promises precise performances.
Esther Schweins returns to the spotlight after years on mallorca and wants to dance emotional stories. Sonya Kraus fulfills a long-held dream with discipline and passion.
