Sony's latest State of Play presentation on June 2 featured gameplay footage from seven titles captured on the PS5 Pro. This total was one short of the record set earlier this year. The event continued a trend of increasing Pro visibility in recent showcases.
The June 2 State of Play included Pro-enhanced segments for multiple upcoming games. One example was the 2D sidescroller God of War Sons of Sparta. February 12 had marked a high point with eight games displaying such footage. Earlier 2025 events showed between three and four titles each. The PS5 Pro launched in 2024. Sony has gradually increased mentions of its capabilities during its own broadcasts. Lead system architect Mark Cerny first highlighted the console in a September 2024 State of Play segment.
