Swedish d-beat duo Nattskri to release debut EP

Stockholm-based d-beat thrash duo Nattskri will release their debut EP, “Blasfemisk Kängthrash”, on March 6, 2026, via Majestic Mountain Records. The first single, “Dödens Hunger efter kött”, is already available for streaming. The project, started by Freezing Jon in 2015, features Swedish vocals for a direct style.

Nattskri, a Stockholm duo blending d-beat and thrash elements, marks its debut with the EP “Blasfemisk Kängthrash”. Formed in 2015 by Freezing Jon, a veteran in the metal scene, the band later collaborated with drummer Jonas Ohlsson, who has played in Septic Grave, Mr Death, and The Grifted. Jon handled the writing, recording, and production of the material on his own during the initial stages, opting for Swedish lyrics to maintain an uncompromising tone.

The EP's sound mixes minor key melodies with driving d-beat rhythms and touches of classic heavy metal. It opens with “Invokation”, combining ritualistic aspects and sharp riffs, while “Prometeus Låga” adopts a quicker punk pace. Recording took place at Studio Pulverisera and in the woods near Stockholm, emphasizing a raw production over polished effects. Guest contributions include Phil Assheton on piano and Abbe Enström on acoustic guitar.

The tracklist comprises “Invokation”, “Dödens Hunger efter kött”, “Pulveriserade Piedestaler”, “När Döden Drabbar Dig Ock”, “Prometeus Låga (intro)”, and “Prometeus Låga”. With the single “Dödens Hunger efter kött” now streaming, the full EP arrives via Majestic Mountain Records on the specified date.
