Telangana CM suggests Allu Arjun act in Hollywood films

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has encouraged Telugu superstar Allu Arjun to expand into Hollywood. He made the comments during the inauguration of Allu Cinemas in Hyderabad. Reddy emphasized that Telugu cinema should now compete on a global stage rather than just with Bollywood.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that Allu Arjun should act in Hollywood films to broaden his reach. Speaking at the inauguration of Allu Cinemas in Hyderabad on Thursday, Reddy highlighted the importance of talent in the film industry. He noted that Telugu cinema has gained pan-India recognition and must now target international audiences.

Reddy remarked, “In future, Allu Arjun should excel not only in pan India (movies), but also in Hollywood. Our sound (Telugu actors’ talent) should reach there also. Till now, we used to compare our Telugu movies with Bollywood only in terms of collections."

He pointed out that language barriers no longer limit a film's success, as viewers worldwide appreciate strong content and performances regardless of language. Reddy added, “The Telugu film industry should be in a position to compete with Hollywood, but not with neighbouring states or Bollywood anymore."

The Chief Minister pledged full government support to the Telugu film industry, aiming to integrate it into the state's development. He praised Allu Arjun and his family for launching the new theatre complex in Hyderabad.

Allu Arjun recently starred in Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar and a sequel to Pushpa: The Rise. The action drama, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Sunil, and Rao Ramesh, became one of India's highest-grossing films. Following its success, Allu Arjun is set to appear in Atlee’s project, tentatively titled AA22xA6, alongside Deepika Padukone.
