A car accident on Bundesstraße 3 near Emmendingen left three drivers injured. Four vehicles were involved, and the road was closed for more than two hours. Police estimate the property damage at 35,000 euros.
On Wednesday morning, a serious frontal collision occurred on the B3 near Emmendingen. A car heading towards Freiburg crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle in the opposite lane. As a result, another oncoming car veered off the road, and a fourth vehicle was damaged by flying debris.
The injured are the three drivers of the involved cars, aged 18, 60, and 66. They sustained minor injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals, according to police. The Bundesstraße was closed for about two hours to secure the scene and reroute traffic.
The incident highlights the risks of road traffic on busy federal roads like the B3. Police are investigating the exact causes, but initial reports point to a head-on collision. The estimated property damage amounts to 35,000 euros.
