Times Kismet makes international debut with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl

Times Kismet, previously ridden by Charlotte Dujardin, completed her international grand prix debut with Germany's Jessica von Bredow-Werndl at Malaspina International Equestrian Centre in Ornago, Italy. The pair placed seventh in the grand prix on 13 March before winning the grand prix special the next day.

The 11-year-old mare Times Kismet joined Jessica von Bredow-Werndl's stable in October 2024, 17 months before her international grand prix debut. She had been a rising star under Charlotte Dujardin, competing at small tour level. Jessica first competed her nationally in August 2025 on home soil, taking a gradual approach to her development. On 13 March 2026, at Malaspina International Equestrian Centre in Ornago, Italy, the pair scored 66.26% to finish seventh in the grand prix. The following day, 14 March, they won the grand prix special with 73.23%. Jessica von Bredow-Werndl called the win 'a very special day'. She said: 'She already felt incredibly good in the grand prix, so much quality and power. Unfortunately she was still a bit nervous on the final centre line in the piaffe, but that’s all part of the process.' In the special, she aimed to ride more relaxed: 'I went into the special with the intention of riding her even more relaxed, giving her even more confidence and simply showing her “We’re doing this together”. And that’s exactly how it felt. She was so beautifully with me, so focused, so trusting.' Jessica noted room for improvement: 'Of course, not everything is perfect yet. Many things are still a bit shaky, and some things are still under-developed. But that’s what makes it so exciting, because the potential this mare has is simply enormous. I am incredibly grateful to have this partner by my side and I am so excited for everything that lies ahead.' This success follows another milestone for Jessica, as her Olympic mount TSF Dalera BB foaled Dolce Vita BB on 9 March.
