TMC removes Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Sayani Ghosh from key posts

Trinamool Congress has removed Sudip Bandyopadhyay from an organisational post and Sayani Ghosh from the youth president role following a meeting in Delhi.

On Saturday, Sudip Bandyopadhyay met BJP minister Bhupender Yadav at the latter’s residence in New Delhi. Kunal Ghosh was subsequently appointed president of the North Kolkata organisational district in his place.

Sayani Ghosh was removed as AITC Youth President and replaced by Arnab Banerjee. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh accused Bandyopadhyay of lust for power and position.

Rebel MPs plan to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday to seek recognition as the real TMC.
